Metabolomics
We offer expertise and equipment to provide both qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis of metabolites and lipids in biological samples using mass spectrometry. Staff can perform experiments or train individuals to work in the facility independently. Services include a complete range of mass spectrometers, interfaced to either high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) or gas chromatography (GC).
Proteomics
The Purdue Proteomics Facility (PPF) at the Bindley Bioscience Center provides state-of-the art proteomics-based resources and technologies to drive scientific breakthroughs. The core innovates, develops, and implements advanced mass spectrometry-based proteomic technologies for qualitative and quantitative proteomic analysis, including protein post-translational modifications, protein-protein interactions to advance basic and translational biology, biomedical and environmental research.
DESI-MS
The High Throughput DESI-MS facility provides rapid mass spectrometry of complex samples with little sample preparation. High speed sampling capability and extremely fast organic reactions are unique characteristics of DESI (desorption electrospray ionization) and offer the capabilities of both a synthetic and analytical tool. Facility capabilities include reaction screening and optimization, nano-scale syntheses, biological activity, and bioactivity assessments.
