About
The Bindley Computational Biology and Data Analytics team leverages statistical modeling, computation, and modern AI/ML approaches to transform raw life-science data into rigorous, reproducible knowledge about biological systems. We work with faculty and student researchers to optimize studies, generate meaningful analytics, and clearly convey scientific outcomes. We also collaborate on original research that advances analytical methodologies in the life-sciences.
Capabilities
Study design, data processing, analysis, and presentation
We work with faculty and student researchers to optimize studies, generate meaningful analytics, and clearly convey scientific outcomes.
- Guidance on experimental design
- Data analysis and interpretation
- Assistance with grant writing
Method and Pipeline Development
In addition to analyzing data using established approaches, our team partners with Ag Data Services, Purdue Libraries/PURR, and the Rosen Center for Advanced Computing to:
- Design novel algorithms and custom software to tackle emerging biological questions
- Build standardized turnkey pipelines for labs to perform recurring analyses
- Help investigators craft and execute Data Management and Sharing plans which embed FAIR principles
Training and Consultation
We provide both formal training and informal consultation to support skills development in all areas of life science data processing, analysis, and presentation
- Office hours for short (1hour) meetings for quick questions on study design, software, data analysis, or interpretation
- Small-group sessions for customized, hands-on training for individuals or small teams
- Workshops for larger groups covering data management and processing or analysis workflows
- Consulting services offer one-on-one support for study design, power analysis, image processing, protocol drafting, and proposal writing.
